With cold temperatures just around the corner, the Columbus Coalition for the Homeless is opening a Warming Center for the third year in a row. The Warming Center will be held in Broad Street United Methodist Church at 501 E Broad Street.
The Warming Center will operate Monday through Friday from 8 AM- 5 PM. In addition to getting out of the cold temperatures during the winter, individuals in need will have access to showers, supplies, and laundry services. In addition, coalition members and SID outreach will connect those in need to resources such as housing application assistance, mental health services, and employment opportunities.
The coalition is seeking packaged snacks like chewy granola bars and fruit bars, as well as new underwear, socks, hats, and gloves. People can drop off those donations at the Capital Crossroads & Discovery Special Improvement Districts' offices at 23 N. 4th St.
