Capital Crossroads SID

Capital Crossroads Special Improvement District supports the development of downtown Columbus as a clean, safe, and vibrant place to live, work, and play.

The focus in the Capital Crossroads SID is on safety, cleaning, landscaping, homeless outreach, wayfinding signage, compiling the State of Downtown economic report, Downtown C-pass,  the Pearl Market, and other community events. Capital Crossroads Special Improvement District is an association of 500 commercial and residential property owners in the core, 38 blocks of Downtown Columbus founded in 2001.

Services

Safety and Security

We have a team of uniformed professionals keeping downtown safe and secure. Our safety ambassadors patrol downtown by bike in conjunction with special duty police officers. Our award-winning security network tracks downtown activity by radio in real-time. Together they can respond to situations quickly. Call or text us at (614) 228-5718, we’re here to help. 

Homeless Outreach

Our outreach specialists connect people experiencing homelessness with shelter, permanent housing, and other assistance. Each year, they help hundreds of people downtown access services and move off the streets. Call or text us at (614) 228-5718 if you see someone needing assistance. Our specialists engage people on the street and in our office throughout the week.  

Landscaping

Our clean team keeps downtown looking beautiful with landscaping on Nationwide Boulevard, Gay Street, the planters around Capitol Square, and the High Street hanging baskets. The team also trim trees and control weeds on downtown sidewalks, and water the planters and hanging baskets.

Cleaning

Our clean team removes litter and leaves from sidewalks to keep downtown clean year-round. They also remove snow from crosswalks and handicap ramps. Call or text us at (614) 228-5718 if you see an area that needs attention. 

State of Downtown

Each year, SID staff produces the State of Downtown Economic Development Report. SID staff is also available to provide custom economic development research. Please contact Marc Conte at (614) 591-4507 for more information.

Downtown C-pass

Downtown C-pass is an innovative partnership between the property owners in the Capital Crossroads Special Improvement District, MORPC, and COTA to provide eligible employees and residents in Capital Crossroads with unlimited access to the entire COTA bus system. 

Ambassador Assistance

Our dedicated on-street SID ambassadors are available seven days a week to provide an escort, directions, and recommendations on where to eat. They can also jump-start your car or fix a flat bike tire. Call or text us at (614) 228-5718, we’re here to help.

Trespassing

Call or text us at (614) 228-5718 to report trespassing on private property.

Make sure the property has a Trespass Agent Authorization form on file with the SID office and Columbus Division of Police. Access a blank form here. Return and scan the completed form to info@sidservices.com.

 

Graffiti Removal
