Clean and Green

One look at the 338 hanging flower baskets lining High Street downtown shows the importance Capital Crossroads SID places on keeping downtown clean and green. All in all, the hanging baskets represent a $60,000 investment in downtown beautification.

Our Clean Team's efforts aren't limited to litter patrol, graffiti removal and powerwashing. In addition, the SID handles five major areas of landscaping. Capital Crossroads is responsible for the planters around Capitol Square and Lynn Alley, and the landscaping on Nationwide Boulevard and the Gay Street medians. Also, Landscaping Specialist Jack Low leads the SID's effort keep downtown green. Jack retired as the City Forester in Columbus’ Department of Recreation and Parks. Obviously, the SID is lucky to benefit from his experience.
