Downtown Matters: Downtown Business Video Contest

Capital Crossroads Special Improvement District launched a video contest in August targeted at small businesses interested in opening or expanding downtown. Interested business owners are called to submit a video of up to four minutes explaining why downtown is the place they want to be. The winner will receive $10,000 toward his/her own lease within the CCSID.

"We know that there are many business owners interested in locating downtown. This contest allows these individuals to explore this option as they prepare the video, all with the chance to win prize money to help make the move a reality," said Kacey Brankamp, Business Recruiter for CCSID.

All video submissions were due by September 30 at noon. The videos will be posted for an open voting period from October 1 at noon through October 26 at noon. The top ten videos culled from that voting period will then go before a panel of judges with the grand prize winner announced on November 3 at noon.
