Free Meals For Those In Need Downtown

Did you know that there are some great options around downtown that provide free meals for those in need? Here is a listing of providers and when the meals are offered:

Broad Street United Methodist Church, 501 E. Broad St.

    • Wednesdays: Dinner is served from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Ramp door on Washington Avenue

 

Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 428 E. Main St.

    • Fridays: Hot Meal Pickup from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

 

Shiloh Christian Center, 787 E. Broad St.

    • Wednesdays:

Soup Kitchen from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Showers, Laundry, and Clothing available 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

    • Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays:

Breakfast 9:30 to 10:15 a.m.

Dinner 7 to 7:25 p.m.

 

St. Joseph’s Cathedral, 212 E. Broad St.

    • Monday through Friday: Snack bags available from 9:30 to 10 a.m. and from 4 to 4:30 p.m.
    • Saturday and Sunday:  Snack bags available from9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Bags are handed out at the back door of the rectory on Lynn Alley.

 

St. Lawrence Haven at Holy Cross Church, 204 S. 5th St.

    • Monday through Friday: Lunch available  12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

 

Trinity Episcopal Church, 125 E. Broad St.

    • Wednesdays: Lunch is available on  at 12 p.m.
    • Sundays: Lunch is served at 1 p.m.

Lunch is served In the Church Undercroft

 

Treats 4 The Streets, 96 S. Grant Ave., at the Columbus Main Library

    • Tuesdays: Meals provided  at 5 p.m.

 

            Mid-Ohio Market, 400 Grove St. at Columbus State Community College

A resource for the community to access free, fresh, and shelf-stable food. (Shoppers

much have a household income that is less than 200% of the federal poverty level)

Market Hours:

      • Monday 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
      • Wednesday 3 – 7 p.m.
      • Thursday 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
