Portable toilets are back out on the streets downtown at the request of property owners by the Capital Crossroads and Discovery SIDs. A total of 8 portable toilets are located at these locations. 

Previously, the SIDs placed a total of 16 toilets throughout downtown from April  2020 to September 2020. The portable toilets were removed when the funding ran out. Each toilet was used on average 100 times per day. 

The SIDs decided to revive the program to help reduce the incidents of human waste ambassadors and property managers were cleaning on buildings and sidewalks. Franklin Country ADAMH is providing funding to cover the costs of additional cleaning of the portable toilets by Southeast, Inc.'s  Project Work. 

Current funding should keep the public restrooms out until May 2021.
