Capital Crossroads & Discovery Special Improvement Districts are pleased to release their annual State of Downtown Report. This comprehensive report looks at data and research across various sectors including major investments, housing and residents, office and employment, education, healthcare and transportation. All data is through December 31, 2024.
Downtown continues its growth trends in several sectors, most notably in the Housing & Residents sector. Among the highlights:
- 13 projects totaling $174 million of public and private investments were completed in 2024.
- $1 billion is under construction with $2.3 billion of proposed projects in the pipeline.
- Downtown’s residential population grew to 12,500.
- The number of employees downtown grew to 92,327.
