Pearl Market has been serving the Downtown community since 1991, offering fresh locally grown Ohio produce to workers, residents, and visitors in the iconic Gay Street District. 

In addition to a variety of fresh farm produce, shoppers enjoy artisanal products available at Pearl Market, including baked goods, gifts for the home, jewelry, and more. Live music adds to the ambience on market days.

Pearl Market is supported through a USDA grant focused on recruiting local farmers and providing them with support to grow their businesses. In tandem, it strives to provide all members of the downtown community with farm fresh produce. Programs such as SNAP/EBT Produce Parks, Women Infant & Children (WIC), and the Seniors Farmers Market Nutrition Program promote food access for all residents.

This season, after a five-year hiatus, we are very excited to welcome returning state office employees back to the market, each Thursday at lunchtime!  

Pearl Market is sponsored by Capital Crossroads Special Improvement District (CCSID).

CCSID is an association of 550 commercial and residential property owners in the core 38 blocks of Downtown Columbus. CCSID works to support the vibrancy of downtown through services and advocacy, with a focus on safety, cleaning, landscaping, and homeless outreach.

New this year, CCSID will join with Common Greens Ohio to present the Pearl Market.

Common Greens is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that connects Central Ohio communities with regional farmers and food producers in vibrant, inclusive marketplaces. They operate farmers markets in Bexley, Clintonville, Upper Arlington and OhioHealth, providing shoppers with opportunities to purchase foods directly from local producers.
