Biz Member Spotlight: Telhio Credit Union

Telhio Credit UnionCapital Crossroads Special Improvement District’s Business Membership program is vital to the SID’s efforts, providing additional revenue for a variety of important initiatives central to its mission of making downtown the cleanest, safest and best place to live, work and play in central Ohio. Business Members demonstrate a deep commitment to downtown through their voluntary support of the SID. In each edition of Downtown Matters, Capital Crossroads will recognize a Business Member for their support.

Telhio Credit Union, a not-for-profit, full-service credit union, has been a Capital Crossroads Business Member since 2013. Though it offers six locations throughout the city, the Fourth Street location downtown houses its corporate offices.

In late 2014, Telhio elected to sponsor Pearl Market as part of their Business Membership in 2015. James Houston, III, Regional Operations Manager of Telhio explained.

“Being involved as a sponsor of Pearl Market really parallels Telhio’s values and goals. We are very involved in the communities we serve, supporting a variety of charities and initiatives. Being Business Members and sponsoring the Market demonstrates that we are invested in downtown’s success and are being good neighbors in the downtown business community.”

As Pearl Market sponsors, Telhio will expand its current advertising reach by directly connecting with downtown residents and workers who are potential customers. Telhio will share information about its services in the reusable Pearl Market shopping bags, which will also include the Telhio logo.

“We are pleased to partner with Telhio,” said Pearl Market Manager Adam Schroeder. “While Telhio promotes financial fitness, its support will allow us to promote good physical health through the Market. We are confident that this will be a fantastic partnership.”
