Don’t Miss the Latest Openings Downtown

Here's an update on openings, reopenings, and new events happening as Downtown continues to rebound from the pandemic. 

Restaurants

Aroma Restaurant Now Open
72 E. Lynn St.
Aroma is now open downtown, offering unique Mediterranean and European cuisine. The lunch menu offers pizza, sandwiches, and small bites like avocado hummus or spanakopita. For dinner, select from most lunch items plus a wider array of entrees like Orange Duck or Steak Diane. They are open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.  

Buckeye Bourbon House Adds Saturday Brunch
42 E. Gay St.
On Saturdays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. enjoy a new brunch menu at Buckeye Bourbon House. Each item is made fresh and from scratch in-house; choose from Chicken & Waffles, Poutine, Avocado Toast, and much more. There is a nice drink menu, plus the mimosa bottle service is “bottomless.” Reservations are available through OpenTable. 

Cafe Brioso Celebrates 20 Years in Business
329 E. Long St.
53 N. High St.
Cafe Brioso celebrated 20 years in business on June 25th. Both locations are now back open for dine-in, and their patio is also open at their High and Gay street location. Stop in to check out their new seasonal menu too!

Cravings Cafe Dining Room Reopens
114 N. Front St.
Cravings Cafe reopened its dining room earlier in July. Stop in for deliciousness, including a special Fried Fish Sandwich each Friday throughout the summer. 

Lola’s Kitchen + Bar Now Open for Lunch
201 S. High St.
Lola’s Kitchen + Bar is now open for lunch, offering delicious salads, grilled wraps, pizza thins, quesadillas, paninis, and grilled pitas. Lola’s is a cafe by day and bar by night, so after enjoying lunch, stop by later in the day for something more spirited.

Fresh Look Beauty & Barber Boutique
Greater Columbus Convention Center
400 N. High St.
Fresh Look Beauty & Barber Boutique is now open in the Greater Columbus Convention Center South Cafe & Marketplace. They offer a variety of services including professional hair cutting, coloring, styling, and more. All hair types and textures are welcomed. 

Events

Urban Arts Space
50 W. Town St.
The Urban Arts Space offers the opportunity to explore art right downtown. Several exhibits currently open include A Prolonged Handshake, featuring a collaboration between Brianna Gluszak and Hannah Parrett (on view through July 23), and The Structure That Wounds Everybody Must Be Destroyed (on view through July 23).

The Cultural Arts Center
139 W. Main St.
The Cultural Arts Center has resumed normal hours and is again offering classes. They also have three exciting exhibitions this month, including the work of the late Philip Sorensen, “Workscapes” by CAC Instructor Sharon’s Putter, and works from the students of CAC Instructors Vasiliev Nini and Tanya Pirasteh.
