More Lines Restored by COTA

As COVID restrictions ease and there is a return to more normalcy, demand for public transit rises. In response to the rising demand, the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) announced the restoration of some services that had been cut back due to the pandemic, including limited rush-hour lines earlier this month. Are you a Downtown C-pass holder? Your C-pass remains valid, as long as you are still an eligible employee. Your photo ID card shows an expiration date of 12/31/20 but is still active. For those who have lost a card, visit the COTA Customer Experience Center at 33 N. High St. to apply for a replacement.

For riders who used the mobile app, double-check that it still works. If you have replaced your phone since you last used it, head to the COTA Customer Experience Center to have your pass transferred to your new phone.

For folks enjoying the reemerging nightlife downtown, be aware that the final bus departures remain at 10 p.m. rather than midnight. So, plan ahead. In addition, the CBUS Circulator, Night Owl bus, and the AirConnect airport shuttle remain suspended. But, for those looking to return to COTA for their daily commute, many more options have reopened.

Whether you hop on COTA to travel for work or fun, you can do so confident that your ride is safe. COTA buses circulate fresh air 50 times an hour, the buses are cleaned frequently, all employees are temperature checked daily, and all drivers and riders must wear a mask. COTA shared a video of their cleaning in action; check it out. And, they are one of the first transit agencies in the country to receive the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) STAR™ Accreditation.
