State of Downtown Report To Be Released at CMC Event

Capital Crossroads & Discovery Special Improvement Districts will release the annual State of Downtown Report on Wednesday, February 24 at a Columbus Metropolitan Club live stream event.

After a year that has seen numerous challenges, including many workers leaving office buildings downtown to work at home and visitors to downtown hotels and attractions plummeting, Downtown Columbus remains healthy and primed for a big comeback. New investments, new buildings, and renovations continue. CAPA will bring back the Broadway Series this fall in the reopened Ohio Theatre. And current and new apartment buildings are attracting young professionals and empty-nesters to the area. The panel will discuss what lies ahead for Columbus, a future that looks brighter each day.

The event features Brad DeHays, Founder, Connect Realty; Bob Szuter, Co-Founder, Head of Operations, Wolf’s Ridge Brewing; and downtown resident, Timothy N. Crawford, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Department of Family Medicine and Public Health Sciences at Boonshoft School of Medicine, Wright State University. Marc Conte, Acting Executive Director, Capital Crossroads and Discovery SID will host.

While there will be no limited live audience for this event, you can participate in community conversation during the event by registering for the event hereThe live stream forum is free, but you are encouraged to support CMC by purchasing a virtual seat.
